I'm guessing this is still open,if so, I have a couple questions.

  1. When you got hired, what was the training like and/or how long was it?

  2. When the dealer waves there hands upside down or whatever, is that just to help protect them from possibly cheating (I play blackjack, don't know if they do this elsewhere)?

  3. Is the hourly rate good or are you just on tips?

  4. What are the shifts like?

If any of these happen to be to personal, just say so, and I apologize in advance.

This probably won't be anywhere as good as him but here's a little summary.

So in blackjack, you want to get close to 21 without going over. You also have to be higher than the dealer.

A 10 or a face card plus an ace is a blackjack where you win 150% of your bet.

If your total is 11,its usually a good idea to double down.

When the dealers card is 7 or lower, they have a "bust" card, meaning they have a good chance of going over 21. In this event, you're going to want to hit until you have a possibility of going over. Even if you land with a 15, you have a decent chance.

The dealer must hit on a soft 17 (ace + 6) or 16 and lower. The dealer must stand on 17 or more.

I don't know how the states does it, but in Canada, we also have little side games you can bet on. One is called Lucky, and the other is perfect pair.

In Lucky, you have sweet payouts but you're lucky to get it. I don't remember the cards you need to win exactly. In perfect pair, you just have to get a pair and I believe you get 2x of what you bet.

Anyways, that's all I can remember and I hope it helps.

I was just trying to be funny because you weren't replying right away. I have a sick sense of humour. I feel bad now. I'll leave. Thanks for doing this AMA though. It's interesting.

All good. I hope it's not life threatening at all! One last thing, what do glasses do for you?
