Even large institutions, I work for a decent sized company. We did a pilot that was a good bit over the minimum order. It was a pilot to determine the larger company-wide use cases for our org. On the basemap side, wow. It was great. We saved a BUNCH of drive time for our field staff. On the SkySat side it was like pulling teeth to get images because we were told we were "a small account" with no recognition that we were looking to go 10X on order size if they could actually perform.
Great tech, way oversold by sales. When capacity goes up, I think they will change the way many industries function.

Thanks for the reply, Will. I also bragged on you guys elsewhere above re: customer success. Our CSM account manager was Lokesh P., and that guy is next level good at his job.

I am overdue for revisiting. I have heard there has been some movement on SkySat capacity. I wont bug you with it. Jen G. in CSM and I had said we would circle back Q3/4 this year to see if there was an opportunity to try again. I will reach out to her.

That's what is happening in my industry, which is one of the ones cited by Will here as being "core" to their model. What's annoying is, we would be one of those aggregators, and I told them that during on-boarding. At the end of the day though, I am not going to spend my clients' money on a company that cannot perform every single time as promised. If they had SLAs we would sign back up and sell their product like crazy. I will say, they have the best customer success team I have ever worked with. I am not sure what they do differently in terms of training, but I still find myself judging every customer success interaction with other contractors by the Planet Standard.
I can't speak to pricing because they do make customer sign NDAs. For monthly 3/4 band though, their sales team is pretty quick to get you a number.

When will SkySat capacity meet the Planet Sales Team's promised timeline for delivery? We did a pilot last year, and never received any tasked order in under two months even though we were promised 48 hour turnaround times by sales.
Planetscope basemaps are a game changer though. If we didn't get so burned on SkySat, we would have gone all in on monthly basemaps.
