My sons are 9, 6, and 5. What's a great experiment I can do with them this weekend?

Whitney/Larry's accent is certainly exaggerated and not particularly Nebraskan. That being said, portions of deep southeast Nebraska are ... special. Among other oddities, the area's residents have a number of local verbal quirks. Probably the most well known is the magically appearing R -- as in "I'm gonna go warsh the car".

But no, nowhere in Nebraska will you hear locals speak like Larry.

and don't get too picky with how it looks through modern eyes...

Are you kidding? I'm on the picky side when it comes to animation and I think Toy Story has held up extremely well.

It's bizarre to me, as a referee, that FIFA and various global organizations are dragging their heels on this at the upper levels of the game. The ball and the players move at incredible speeds. It is impossible for an AR to be in perfect position to adequately judge the vast majority of close goal/no-goal situations. Even if he IS in perfect position, there are still all kinds of reasons why he may pooch the call, either due to his own error or because of outside factors.

Professional and international soccer deserve goalline technology.
