mainly for consulting firms.

I'm intrigued by this part of your answer in particular. I've literally just graduated with my B.Sc. in life sci, and it seems like all jobs/positions available require at the very minimum a Master's. How were you able to consult on projects with "only" a Bachelor's?

(I say "only" not in any derogatory sense or to diminish the value of a B.Sc., it's just that as I said, it seems like that degree is almost below minimum requirements in this field in 2018, which blows my mind.)

Thanks for doing this AMA :)

I am doing my PhD in life sciences currently, and my partner works in biofuel engineering. We talk very very regularly about the huge amount of waste produced in life sci/biopharma, and how difficult it is to solve. We've often chatted about moving towards using biomass-derived plastics, and it's always been my conjecture that anything issued from biological sources would be susceptible to breakdown/alteration by biological samples.

How can we make e.g. tubes (large or small) from bioplastics without affecting sensitive experiments//to what extent is this a viable area of research?
