Your execution of this concept is something I've always appreciated. You include a diverse cast without making a big deal of thing. It'd be one thing if you did a strip about a marriage and it was two dudes and at the end you were like "GET IT? THEY'RE GAY AND THAT'S OKAY!"

The way you make it such a non-issue is very refreshing.

Fun fact: trying to titty fuck someone with a flat chest would be a Nai Tsuri.

I laughed the first time I heard that, but couldn't share with my friends.

Ah awesome! I'm currently student teaching with 6th-9th grade orchestra (I'm a band guy, a horn player) in southeast michigan. In March I will switch over to teaching with 5th-8th grade band. I do actually have a bunch of questions, feel free to answer any (or none!) that catch your eye.

  • If you have a limited budget how do you deal with it?
  • What is your favorite piece of lit for each level of band?
  • Would you ever consider teaching an orchestra? (it's quite fun, as I'm finding out)
  • What's your best/worst first year of teaching story?
  • What is most helpful thing you learned in your first year of teaching?

Thanks!

Thanks for responding! My university's director of bands is of the same opinion of marches.

My friend has a good "first day of student teaching" story that involves a sousaphone and a dead cat.
