This is a strange question, but I'll ask anyway:

I have a Vietnamese friend who I've been close to over the last year. However, conversation topics have been dry lately and because I'm a rather antisocial person, the friendship is not as strong as I'd once thought. I'd suspect this is due to a cultural divide. Is there any way I can reconnect through learning more about Vietnamese culture?

I only speak roughly 6 words of Tiếng Việt. It's not much but I try.

What is your favourite type of debate? WSDC, British Parliamentary, American Policy, Presidential Debate, etc.

Also, how do you as a speaker deal with "Whataboutism" as an argument from the opposing side?
