I had a game like that when introducing extended family to Battletech.

My brother-in-law foolhardily decided to take on three opponents at once, one with each ER PPC on his AWS-9M. I warned him about to-hit penalties for multiple targets, and he was already half a board away. He didn't care.

He fired. He hit. Hit table... the head. How lucky was that, destroys the cockpit. It's okay, it's good for new players to get a lucky shot in, keeps them excited.

Fire number two. Damn that's lucky at that range, another hit. You're kidding me, took the head clean off, no one is this lucky.

Fire three. How the hell is he rolling these hits, on multiple targets no less. I can barley roll a seven when I need- OH YOU'RE KIDDING ME! Third headshot in a row, the three remaining mechs on my side of the board have become headless smoking metal monsters in a single turn.

The duck walk and bend and spread was all my recruiters could talk about on the way to MEPS.

The best part was waiting in line and hearing the doctor around to corner shouting at someone "More! More! MORE! Spread those ass cheeks or get out of here!"

I think "former Marine" doesn't rustle the jimmies quite the same as "ex Marine" does.
