How did you get involved with FFXIV and singing Answers and Dragonsong?

Unfortunately I never got to play FFXI. Never got a PS2, only got a PS3 when XIII came out and by then everyone told me it was horrible. By the time I could get a PS2 I also needed to get a way to play it etc and so I've just been hoping for a PS4 version or Steam... @_@;
