How did you react to the news when you were told? We always see reactions in film & television, but I never know if they even come close to realistic depictions of actual people.

At what point did you have to accept the possibility of there being no way out and give in to the horrible nature of your condition? I feel like if I was ever diagnosed with something like you have been, I'd forever be searching for a cure or something that would help and I'd never be at peace with myself.
