You mention not feeling any different, but I'm struggling to fully understand that. I'm sat on a couch now, with my feet underneath me. I'm not using them for anything, but can wiggle my toes etc at will, and I feel a small sensation in other parts of my leg. You can wiggle the toes on 1 foot. What is the sensation you experience when you try to replicate that with the other leg?

I am learning about the case from you doing this thread. I'm still mulling over what I have read, and will read the other comments, before commenting myself, but what is so striking in the New York Times' article is the stark contrast of the child-like activities v's the harrowing ones. The switch is especially uncomfortable.

Do you intend to use a prosthetic limb? If yes, how long after the operation does it take for the wound to be healed enough, in order to be able to start learning how to use a prosthetic?

Will you give us an idea of how much stuff you create that you don't go on to use for something, or how much gets rejected? I think people often have the false belief that everything a successful musician creates gets used for something.

I suppose a person wouldn't see it as asking for something undeserved. Such a person, presumably, thinks they have been punished for their crime.
