Some people, myself included, would say that having someone super grounded and not overly "actor-y" playing Atrus really added to the sense that he was a real person. And as the creator of the world of the game, it made sense for you to play the man who was himself a writer and explorer of worlds.

Anyways, Atrus was awesome.
