I've seen a few VICE videos on the Crimea crisis and it seems as if things are a lot less tense than mainstream media makes it seem. In one video, Russian and Ukrainian soldiers are chatting and laughing together. In your opinion, are things being dramatized by western mainstream media?

Honestly, why do crimeans want to go to russia? From what I've heard it's a very desolate and non-free place. Even ethnic Russians have told me that.
