I am an animal rights activist myself and some of us compare the animal suffering to what has happened to you at the hand of the nazis. Some think it taints the conversation badly and distracts from the issue.
Is this a viable form of reasoning or should we do without?
A lot of people think human rights and animal rights are separate things. Especially old socialist (IMHO) get angry when somebody argues for animal rights because they think we still need to fight social injustice/class system first. What would you tell those poeple
