Was "Heaven is A Place on Earth" the partial inspiration for San Junipero or did someone just do an incredible job sourcing music for the soundtrack??

Thank god it did! That credits sequence has got to be the most impactful use of music in anything I've seen. Especially astounding that you came across it by chance after deciding on the year 1987..

For real, I can't thank you enough for this choice. The story would have been powerful regardless but, speaking as a young gay girl fresh outta the closet, it was like a punch in the gut hearing Yorkie's backstory.

I love Black Mirror for stirring my deep fear of the future and crushing my optimism. but damn i enjoyed seeing a hopeful imagining of future tech, and of all the show's protagonists it felt like these two were quite deserving
