New father here... it has been the hardest experience getting my son added to our policy. He is 4 months old and we still don’t have confirmation that he has been added. Everyone we’ve spoken to at the marketplace (except for this last person) has been completely incompetent.

We have spent 20 hours on the phone back and forth with the marketplace and the insurance provider. Everyone is pointing the finger at the other.

Additionally, our premium will now be $1500 (before any discounts).

While I believe that the core ideals of the ACA (no caps, preexisting conditions, etc) were needed and successful, the execution is a 100% failure.

From the launch of the website, to the skyrocketing premiums, to the issues like my own....

What went wrong?

As a Democrat, this has left a terrible taste in my mouth. While I still think that Obama was a great president, I’m saddened to see his legacy get butchered by the ACA.

I have bipolar disorder. When manic, I am ultra sensitive to audio, particularly certain sounds like coughing. Have you looked in to how mood orders affect people with sound sensitivity?
