Thank you for your response. Many "democratic" countries around the world require voters to show IDs to vote. The difference in the US, as I understand it, is that it's impossible to obtain an appropriate ID without a modest fee; in other countries you can get them free when you sign up to the electoral roll, for example. Perhaps the best solution that is never going to happen is to ensure that every eligible voter has a free voter card when they vote.

Yea, Reddit's algorithm doesn't facilitate moves over a couple of days. It will be dead by then, and nobody will see it.

Could start a new thread, I suppose, and transfer all the questions over there...

She answered more questions than in most AMAs I've seen. Particularly from someone in such a high-ranking position as she is.

As someone who writes about science professionally, I find it difficult to keep focus when I come across something I don't know how to articulate. I'll just walk away or do something else on my computer (like right now!) and revisit it later. This, I think, makes me a very inefficient writer and I end up spending much more time than my peers "working".

My question is, how do you maintain focus when you come across something that you can't immediately convey, or, how do you avoid getting into these situations in the first place?

Thanks :)
