We don't have fair elections. It's like asking Russia to get their act together.

Honestly, what can an employer do here? The individual can always just lie about their past, especially if none of it was reported criminally.

To be fair, most of us Americans living in the states hate our government, too.

That last nugget of wisdom is spot on. I'm a software developer (albeit more line-of-business than game dev), and it's totally counter-intuitive to a lot of people to start writing some code before I know the final design. They tend to approach it like constructing a building, where you need to blueprint every rivet and nail. Software just doesn't work the same.
