Question about my dream journal. Should I be trying to remember more details for my journal or is it fine to just write down the overall story of the dream?

I have a dream world, where pretty much,

the places in reality - I also have a dream version of.

Is this normal? I practically have a mini dream world in my head that I can recall whenever I want. (I'm not a lucid dreamer yet)
