Well, in my university class about magnetism(started last week) they talked about this, it is how the Weiss spots are set(English is not my first language, kinda hard to explain what I mean) like in a magnet it is like this and in non magnets. So hitting it hard enough with out breaking would make a magnet back to a non magnet, displayed in the second image.

At least that is what I concluded. If I am wrong please correct me ;)
