It's true that radiation stuns tissue and affects its healing long after the treatment ends. Loss of sensation is something that should pretty much be expected for any mastectomy surgery because of disruption of nerve fibers during the surgical dissection. Sometimes sensation improves over time, but it's never "normal" and that even applies to tissue that hasn't been radiated. It's fair to warn people that have had radiation that there are some things that are not able to be predicted or controlled, but it is possible to have a good outcome. The possibility of symmetry is best discussed on a case by case basis.

There have been several animal studies that have shown this to be the case, but there have been several studies in humans showed it did not appear to be the case. It may be a bit of chicken and egg thing... Some pot smokers are more sedentary than others and this may be more of the issue than the pot itself.

It's all what the GUY thinks. Not what we think. But we do have to manage expectations. A 350lb 5'3" guy isn't going to walk out looking like he was in the cast of 300 no matter what we do.
