Wait wait...Oryx and Crake is a trilogy now? That used to be my favorite book back a few years, but I never even considered the story keeps going.

Goodbye next week. I had great plans for you, but the universe had more important things in mind.

Hi Radley, I saw you speak a week ago just before Bobby Seale. I got to your conversation as it was wrapping up though, and I wanted to ask you:

What role do multi-jurisdictional fusion centers and DHS grants to city police departments play on the mindset of police?

I think an e-book addendum would be a brilliant way to give your researched views to people who finish the book and want more!

Not responding directly to your question. I just wanted to point out cost. If all 698,460 officers in the US were required to wear the White Edition GoPro ($199.99), the base cost would be $139,685,015.40 ($139.7M).

I don't know maintenance cost for these cameras, so if someone could provide a rough estimate that would be great.

Does anyone know what costs would be associated with being required to livestream from every camera. (Obviously there would be a demand for a delay to keep suspects from avoiding police by watching the streams of the police following them.)

If all this were possible, it seems like we could do this for under $1B. With time that cost would rise, but those would be future expendatures. Considering there's roughly $1B unaccounted for in DHS spending on fusion centers, I think we may have found a good use of that money.
