Hey there, i got a group of friends. We all life far apart but we meet like once a year. We love playing games with easy rules not too much accessories and a lot of fun social interaction. Do you or does anyone else have nice ideas? I would like to buy some new games.

It is requirements for good databasesystems: Atomicity, Consistency, Isolation and Durability - though i have no clue what it should have to do with big data.

What has ACID to do with big data - can you elaborate? I do not want to sound like a dick but for me big data is when it gets critical to handle the data mostly based on computational power, so i have no clue what ACID has to do with it.

Could you maybe explain this a bit?

Hello i am really interested in this and always wanted to create an intelligent software.

What is the basis of your system?

Is it a semantic net? How do you control emotions? For instance a part of intelligence for me is if you are very rude to a person over a while, the level of anger should increase.

So if someone throws a joke towards me i am not upset imediatly but if he does not stop joking about me i would gets angry. Basically this includes experience and learning.

Do you take this into consideration somehow? And if so ... what are the basic emotions? Love? Hate? Friendship?

Ok i have a question. It is about moving big junks of data. Lets say i have 5 TB data and i want to move it from one server/system to another.

Are there any other fast (offline) solutions than just copy the data on a large harddrive and copy it back to the other system?
