Two questions, the first is for Gabe, the second is for anyone.

  1. How directly involved are you in the game design process? Is it all high level decisions or do you ever do any coding/animating/writing?

  2. What is the most interesting game concept you decided not to follow through with and why?

My only point of view was that of a South Dakota resident with an interest in economics.

Looking over your comments on this thread, it appears that you are inserting your own biases into what you read, and you come off as a bit of an ass as a result. Perhaps if you were less hostile and inflammatory from the beginning people would respond more positively.

If you want to learn about my actual political views rather than the ones you imagine me to hold, you have always been free to ask. I would be happy to discuss most of them, but I refuse to take part in this debate between you and your strawman.

I'm not a democrat and my question was answered. Going through the answered questions I would say that most of them do not express the politics of those who posted them.

You are making a lot of assumptions about people's political views based on little to no evidence. For example, here is my question. Considering your own response to it I'm guessing I was included in your blanket statement.

Thanks for doing this AMA. I currently live in South Dakota where we just passed a measure raising the minimum wage to $8.50/hour and requiring it to be annually adjusted by any increase in the cost of living based on the Consumer Price Index.

Do you think such an annual adjustment is viable as a component of the federal minimum wage? If so, what do you think would be the ideal value to set it to, knowing that it would keep pace with the cost of living?

Note that no point did I express my own views, nor do I feel the need to do so now. My own politics are irrelevant. I gave context for and asked a question about Heidi Shierholz's opinion on an issue that is currently receiving a lot of national attention and is directly related to her work.

EDIT: I would say that she has mostly been answering softball questions but this is the case with nearly every AMA by a figure involved in government or politics.
