Former admissions counselor here, and I just want to chime in with "common essay topics."

Our top 3 were usually "How I became an Eagle Scout," "When I tore my ACL" and "What I've learned from my Grandparents/Mother/Dad."

That said, Dan is spot on. I may see a dozen essays about these topics, but if you put your passion and enthusiasm into your writing, I'll still be impressed/intrigued/engaged.

Oh I totally agree. It is a huge emotional as well as a physical challenge. Many of these kids have to seriously reconsider what they want to do with their future. Often times it will bench them or eliminate their ability to compete on a competitive collegiate level. But that said, try reading 20 essays in one month about that fateful day on the soccer pitch.

Like anything, it is all in how you approach it. Are you going to detail the specifics of the injury? I've read that countless times. Are you going to detail the turmoil of recovery, the pain of seeing your team compete without you, the frustration of physical therapy, the fear of surgery? I want to read that.

Who is weak to the Twins' fire-shield power? I still haven't figured that out yet.

And is there any power-up you recommend purchasing/acquiring above all else during your runs? I am extremely partial to the Air-Dash boots.

Just as general commentary: I met you at PAX East this year and after playing for 10 minutes bought a 2 steam keys from you. Since then, it has been amazing to see the regular updates and polish get added to the game, and watch you rework stuff over time. The first time I saw a boss intro I laughed - it was a great touch!

Thanks for keeping up all the hard work, the game is amazing fun to play and I cannot wait for the network code to be finished so I can play online with friends.
