Thank you for pointing this out. I came to see if anyone had. It irks me that the word "chemical" is inherently negative due to under education of individuals. I feel like I have to correct people on this constantly.

I'm American and lived in New Zealand so I can infer that this question was asked because Maori are seen by people that don't know much about NZ culture as being highly exotic. They're tattooed, tribal, etc. in everyone's mind. Perhaps a rare find. I got the reverse here because I'm half Native American. I've never lived in a teepee and I'm a natural blonde. Lol

It's so funny to me, that some hold this perspective, but I guess it makes a little sense.

Do you keep up with any of the modern Gladiator-esque shows? (Titan Games etc.) I'm still a sucker for all of the crazy obstacle and such shows (GUTS back in the day, ANW and Titan Games now).

I loved American Gladiators and even broke my toe in my living room while playing Breakthrough and Conquer with my uncle and sister. My best friend was always Jazz and I was always Diamond. Haha

I'm from Oklahoma and moved to L.A. to continue in music and television many moons ago. I started working for a promoter in OK as an intern when I was 15, then just started saying yes to every opportunity when I moved to L.A.(which meant some weird jobs, haha). When you are nice, honest, and work hard the jobs come as you meet people. Like this guy said. I first met the person who did all of the video and screens for major tours and shows for the last 30 years, started working as an office assistant to the owner of the company, then as an interim EA. Then they got me a job working as a production manager, and then another job with Live Nation. Then I got my job in music television. It steam rolled as I met and got along with the people I met at work. Never be afraid to start at the bottom. I had nearly a decade of concert production experience managing arena shows when I moved to L.A., but I still smiled when I had to go get 7 caramel lattes for my superiors and they all spilled in my car.

I just figured I'd pipe in since I started in production in OK when I was 15 and then made a career in L.A. in my 20s. There's a lot of Oklahomies in the biz. :)

As for OP, I wonder if we ever met. . .I worked with MCR in that time frame. ;)

Did you once have a roommate named Olive? I worked with him for a while in music television and he always had great things to say about you as a person which made me love your music more. I'm hoping this is true that he knows you because we had a grand time working together.

I can play your albums on the worst day, and it seems to bring my heart to a more positive place. Thank you for the messages you seek to spread through your talent. I'm a practicing Christian but sometimes tire of some of the positive music that is formulaic or lacks quality and ingenuity. Yours is refreshing and real.
