I love the Costco floral deal (in store): 2-dozen roses for less than $20. They last for weeks. How can they be so inexpensive? Is it just because of volume?

It's a product. It's hard to sell a square plate. Not impossible, but there's much higher demand for round plates. If you're dedicated to your square plate art, you may find an audience eventually. But round plate makers won't have a recognition barrier to overcome.

Seriously, people who will spend $200 on a sweater for a chihuahua are more common every day. Super soft, pure cashmere, fine gauge hoodie for $300 for a 1kg dog -- sounds almost reasonable.
