How are your teeth? Most people with this disorder have the development of their teeth affected as well which need extensive dental restorative care.

Most patients who have the disorder have many tooth fractures along the roots of their teeth or advanced wear/fracture of their teeth over time.

It has to do with poorly mineralized underlying dentin (the tissue below enamel), that supports the enamel up above, because of abnormal collagen. Because it is not sufficient in supporting the enamel, you often see patients with teeth worn down to their roots.

Dental implants and crowns are needed in many cases to prevent or slow down oral health decline.

I'm a student dentist. Gotta be able to take care of my patients and know a bit about teeth.

Grab a beer and enjoy life. ;)
