Isn't his unique perspective on the church the whole reason why anyone in this AMA cares about what he has to say? If he viewed them the same as any other outsider then this would be a rather boring post, wouldn't it?

It's weird that your kid is old enough to have friends now. It seems like just yesterday when he was only a fetus.

It's really easy to forget that real people's lives were taken by this disease because of all of the layers of abstraction. We hear about it on the news, but the Ebola crisis was just a bunch of numbers representing people thousands of miles away. A human needs to hear things like your story to truly feel for all of those numbers, I think.

Thank you for sharing your story and giving us all some context and making your situation, and the many many more like it, easier to empathize with. What you're doing is very important to making us all be more human and care more about our fellow people.

Crazy idea: Get ten people with ten different numbers of fingers less than ten. Like a guy with no fingers, a girl with one finger, a dude with two fingers, ect. Train you guys all up for several years so you get insanely good at martial arts. Make a ten story tower, where each of you occupy one floor. Allow people to try to get to the top, where they have to defeat each of you in combat. Starting with the nine finger guy and ending with the zero finger guy.

When they reach the top, they get the honor of becoming the new nine finger guy, everyone in the tower loses a finger, and the previous zero finger guy gets to retire, while the previous one finger guy becomes the new zero finger guy, the previous two finger guy becomes the new one finger guy, ect.

This makes it so the zero finger guy will be the most experienced fighter and will be the toughest, because he had to start at the bottom and slowly make it to the top. The level of fighter decreases as the number of fingers increases.
