I trust you are aware that there is an entire catalog of Google failures. The difference is that Google knows when to throw in the towel and doesn't let a failed project flounder into obscurity, they cut it like a 3rd string RB. I like the fact that you're trying to be positive, and based on your book (RDPD) I can understand why you feel that determination is important. But sometimes it's just as important to realize when to move on. I think Google does that better than any company in the world.
