Immigrant is a term that can be applied to someone newly arrived in a country. Applies for one generation only.

My great grandparents were immigrants. I was born in Canada. I'm a native Canadian. I don't really care if "Native Americans" don't like that or not.

A couple of questions:

  1. I've read that the Afghan War was largely won way back in '01/02 and that Rumsfeld threw it away by refusing to negotiate with the Taliban. True?
  2. To what extent did the Iraq War undermine the Afghan War?
  3. Again, my reading seems to point to Rumsfeld as the one to shoulder most of the blame for the Afghan War. Would you agree?

My family spent a year in Kuwait in the 70’s when I was in grade 5. There were at least a dozen shots needed, if not closer to two dozen. I could barely move my arm the next day.

On the plus side, needles only generated an intense feeling of boredom after that.

To a layman, it seems that the frequency of bipolar diagnosis has increased. Is this so? If so, what do you attribute this to?

Is this a condition that humans have always had and we're just becoming better at detecting/diagnosing it? Or has the incidence of bipolar actually increased?

Thanks!
