actually, the song used as the Mad Men theme is an instrumental version of a song by the rapper Aceyalone, of which Rjd2 did the beat, and was released in 2006. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vEuukoxoop4
The Mad Men people paid him to use a beat he made and released years prior, so it's not like he was trying to make TV theme songs.
