Not Sungha Jung, but I think his father bought him a guitar (wasn't exceptional in sound from the videos I saw) that would last him until he got specially made guitar that he still plays today.

SJ was not "forced" to play. He played around and experimented at a young age and generally loved playing, which evolved into his soonsorship of his guitar and the millions of views he has today.

Supporter engagement describes being in touch with your political base, such that you are seen not just as leader at the helm, but also a leader who can integrate and lead from within. It also describes a personal relationship with supporters, rather than a leader-follower relationship, which is probably what OP is referring to.
