Why are solids not ejected but liquid is? I am probably wrong in assuming this but wouldn't the liquid freeze into a solid once ejected?

Also, why not simply eject the solids on a trajectory directly towards earth. Wouldn't it simply burn up in the atmosphere, providing a ready-made garbage disposal mechanism?

Airlines charge higher fares for those reservations.

This actually really surprised me. Whenever I've had to travel in the past few years I've always noticed ticket prices going up as the date got nearer, rather than ticket prices going down.
