How do I best support my partner, who is unhappy in his current position and is thinking about a career change?

I feel this! I work in the veterinary field and largely I love it, but have a very hard time with feeling like our clients don't care or are trying to take advantage of us. I work for a great company but feel like they don't/won't pay us reasonably despite the fact that they are very large. I have seen the cash counts at the end of the day and our hospital grosses $85 000- $100 000 a day.
