What does it say about me that I always need to keep my different food items physically separated on my plate?

I am not the OP, but I want to put in my 2 cents here.
They can unionize, but it will be very difficult. Since working in fast food is largely unskilled labor, the workers are easily replaced. Since the workers are easily replaced, it greatly reduces the workers bargaining power.
The more replaceable the workers are, the harder it is to organize an effective strike. The fast food company can easily replace any striking workers with new workers. So in order for a strike or any other kind of "show of force" to be effective, it requires a much larger percentage of the workforce to be active in the movement. It also requires that you have enough public support that there will be less people willing to move in to replace you, because then even the potential workers will agree that unionization is the way to go.
