I would shout "Let's kick the tires and light the fires BIG DADDY!" thru my mic to the guy in the control room right as 3-2-1 ticked down.

I'm a geologist who works in the oil and gas industry. I don't know how I really feel about this AMA. Part of me wants to hang him for treason. The other part wants me to introduce him to the business department of my company and possibly he could introduce innovative ideas. But simply telling the business department that what they are doing is wrong without providing a better solution makes me think he's a child trying to telling hardened veterans how to do their job they've been performing for decades. Your not right until you can provide a more right answer... till then the oil traders have made my industry one of the most powerful and important in the world. Who says this guy knows any different?
