Have gingers ever become a fad or are we still persona non grata?

Animal feed crop is fairly dense, and can include products that would be waste for humans. The things humans eat aren't necessarily highly dense or versatile crops and thus would use considerably more land or specific land to feed an all vegan diet. It's easy to grow an epic shit ton of wheat, corn, and soy, but less so more desirable foods.

Depends on the type of farming. Vertical farming will solve this. Not that I'm advocating for going vegan because I love meat, but once we get costs under control we can churn out high quality crops in an urban food desert. Perfect 24/7 growing conditions.

Nobody. That's how it gets fixed. Downsize the massive human population and you cut all emissions by a massive amount. I could eat steak every day and get a giant gas guzzling pickup and my carbon footprint would be tiny compared to a Prius driving vegan who had 2 kids, because I'm killing an entire generation of future consumers.

Fewer people combined with living green and working towards better fixes with future technology is our best bet. Literally the worst thing anyone can do to the environment is have a baby. It's untold generations of human consumption.
