One of my best friends is also living with arthrogryposis. He is able to grasp things with his hands but as you describe his elbows are almost locked and his range of movement with his shoulders isn't great. He is however able to write, type and carry things albeit less effectively.

You said in the original post that you don't have the use of your hands. Are you in a similar situation to my friend or is your case of arthrogryposis worse somehow? Thanks for doing this AMA!!
