I had an experience like this when doing a simple simulation of an object falling down. It took me 5 times to get the computer to understand that not only is gravity a thing that pulls objects down, but which direction down is, that we're talking about 9.807 m/s² of acceleration, and that yes, this object IS actually supposed to be affected by said gravity, thank you very much.

Computers are like maliciously compliant genies. "I want this object to have 50% friction, and this object to have 20% friction, now make them collide" "Wish granted, but you didn't tell me that the two objects are solid, so they just phase through each other"

As a great scientist once said:

"If you wish to make apple pie from scratch computer graphics, you must first create the universe"

Hi Lucas, big fan! OceanMaker was very good!

Are you planning to keep doing projects like it in the future? I know the crowdfunding wasn't very successful, but you managed to pull it off anyway. Would you try crowdfunding again, or go a different route?

Also, how did you do the landscapes in OceanMaker? Sculpted and painted, or generated in something like World Machine?

Bonus bonus question: If you had to do OceanMaker over again, what would you do differently?
