It's ok, I laughed in a deaf voice and I'm fine.

Frightening. Confused. Bewildered. What was most shocking was that I couldn't stand up. I had complete equillibrium failure when it happened and any time I tried to stand, it was the strangest sensation. My body registered that I was upright, but my vision moved with the fall. I never felt the sensation of falling. That wore off in about a week and then the realization that I was going to be deaf in my left ear for possibly the rest of my life started to sink in. The doctors had said that they didn't know what caused it and had no guarantees on if it would happen to the right ear as well.
