How has the importance of the Fortune 500 List evolved since its inception in the 50s? Why do people rely on it more than say the Fortune 1000 or 100?

Hey, appreciate you doing this! Not always easy to get reliable answers on this topic.

I use Hyperopic (1Gb) which has a socket into my flat. If I connect my PC directly via ethernet to the provided router or socket it achieves between 600-800 Mbps. If I use the installed ethernet sockets in the respective rooms (which I connect to the router in its closet), I get maybe 100Mbps at a push.

It's not slow but it's a bit puzzling to me. Why is this difference so significant?
