That's this safesport right: “As I interacted with Safe Sport, I realized it’s a sham, essentially a P.R. or marketing arm of USA Swimming,” Dani Bostick, a survivor of sexual abuse by a USA Swimming coach

Company says "well guarantee $ for your charity by phone, email and social media ads using your charity name, but we'll keep a % to cover our costs." That % can be as high as 90%, but charities justify this by saying "we didn't have to do anything and we got $100,000 to fix cleft palettes in children, so we changed a lot of lives." And it's hard to say they're wrong, but it's also hard to be ok with $900,000 meant to fix cleft palettes going to some asshole running a for profit charity media empire.

I'm not arguing against the concept of fundraising or marketing, but this is a legit cottage industry in the charity world of 3rd party fundraising hustlers. That 90% figure is not made up, I've seen several companies and not one has offered lower than 80%. And they all lead with "$xxxx dollars for your charity."
