What is your opinion on AI ethics in terms of importance as a profession and subject area? - given the ubiquity of AI across so many areas, functions and implementations and as we trend towards AGI, it seems it would be a very importart area (Everything across governance, privacy, algo bias, robotics etc). But given so much is theoretical / philosophical, and may not be able to be implemented - it is often met with dismissal as 'fluff' amongst some engineers and even on this Reddit as pointless. Curious on your opinions of the impact and importance of AI ethics? And how this will grow / not grow?
Thank you for the AMA! For context work at one of the big tech companies and find particularly the ethical side of AI, robotics etc interesting. Future dream to move to Deepmind! Considering a degree in AI ethics :)
