Why do you stress the word "born" in the title of your post? Do you feel the need to distinguish yourself from people who "brought it upon themselves"? My best friend is HIV+ so I am interested in the ways in which people experience the stigma aspect of it.

Your mom's tip made me think of this: Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the little voice at the end of the day that says "I'll try again tomorrow".

I feel like I've heard a lot of homeless women identify as bisexual (mostly on documentaries and reality shows). Do you think there could be some kind of correlation between the homelessness and bisexuality in young American women? Maybe either (a) bisexual women are more likely to end up homeless; or (b) homeless women are more likely to become bisexual? Queer theorist here, hence the questions. Wishing you all the best.
