You should try festivals where singers decide to jump in the crowd… and operators decide to follow… great cable management skill required :p I now work as the RF camera tech. Doing short range (steadicam set-up) and long range (cycling races: moto cam, heli and airplane tech.) You would think RF needs less cables…. It does’t :(

If they use Vislink system, don’t worry about it to much. Just get your frequencies and get coverage tests before the venue. Vislink has pretty robust demodulation so it works really well most of the time. But it will not hurt to read about modulation schematics, so you know what modulation input gives robustness vs. Image quality. But I am sure you will not be alone for such a job the first time.
