I am confused. I flew around 3 days after. I was only a kid too. What do you mean? Thanks for the AMA!

Edit: I think the answer to this was removed. It basically stated I was a child and was wrong. I did however fly From Nevada to Missouri 3 days after, to attend a funeral. There were armed military personnel at every airport.

This is so interesting! Thank you for doing an AMA.

How complicated is the gene you carry? Is it simple recessive?

What are the chances of you passing this on to future offspring?

I saw that your vision is terrible, and you have to be careful in the sun. Aside from this, are there any other afflictions from your condition?

How do you feel about people breeding the albino gene into animals, amongst other genetic mutations?

Thank you so much for this! Absolutely incredible.

It amazes me to see such devoted herpers at your age. Please consider contacting different reptile show companies (Repticon for example ). They might allow you a booth or two to setup in. This would be a great way for you to spread the word about what you're doing. Also please say you have a decent Herpetological society near you to help out. Also the International Herpetological Symposium would be interesting to check out. There's a lot of people out there with the connections to help you out, just gotta get out there. You seem like you're doing great.

One little question though concerning what you said In a comment. Who's breeding Hellbenders and what do they go for at the moment? I've been wondering why no one had taken their captive breeding more seriously.

First off I have never had gold and I feel insanely giddy.. Thank you so much! Thats awesome you plan to work with that species. From what I've noticed with many herps is that the demand to truly protect them rises exponentially if they become popular in captivity. I think more can be done for these animals once more people begin to see them bred in captivity. I plan to do some work on Charina bottae ( Rubber Boa), here in the western states some time in the future. Please seriously get involved with some Herp clubs and shows. This is one of the best ways to get the ball rolling. I wanted to do a small display about native reptiles when Repticon first came to my town and they set me up like a king! Goodluck, and I look forward to hearing more about your work with with these amazing creatures.
