A Muppet Christmas Carol is my personal favorite adaptation of that work. In spite of the presence of animals and furry monsters (and lots of wise-cracking), it's remarkably faithful to the book. Lots of dialog, especially Gonzo's narration, is lifted directly from the novel.

A fun excercise: next Christmas (or now, if you want) go download Neil Gaiman reading from Dickens' prompt copy of the book, and then watch the movie.

I'm sure that I don't want to see spoilers, but I'm also sure that I couldn't pass up the opportunity to tell you how much of an impact your show has had on my boyfriend and me. There are so many times when one (or both) of us completely relates to something that one of the characters in the show says or how they react. We also live in an area in the US without much of an active gay community, and your show has been a bit of lifeline for us at times so we can feel some small connection with other LGBT people. Thank you so much for what you do.

One of the small things I really enjoy is the way the opening credits and the music fit naturally into the action in each episode (the hiking scene was particularly clever). I was kind of wondering about how you chose "I'll Be Fine" and how did you decide to do the credits the way you do?

I loved your performance as Sue in Green Wing long before I loved your performance as Missy in Doctor Who. I see a lot of surface similarities (both are kind of "chaotic evil", if you will), but I was wondering, what is your take on the similarities and differences in playing the roles?

(You seem like you're having an absolute ball on both shows!)

Thanks so much for coming on! MYST was my very first non-edutainment gaming experience, and it is still one of my favorite games ever. For that matter the first MYST novel was one of the first books I read more than once, back when I was in 5th grade. Your game is more than worthy of being inducted into the collection at MoMA, as it recently was.

How do you feel about having something you've done recognized in this manner, and what can you say about the recognition that video games are finally getting as art?

Is "art" something you intentionally thought about when making the game?

(And on an extreme side note: I already saw the FAQ on your page, and I've already pledged, but I would like to add my voice to the chorus asking for Linux support if it should turn out to be technically possible with the Unreal 4 engine.)
