If China was nice to one defector today, they'd have 20 million defectors to deal with the next day.

It's unfortunate, but pragmatic.

How do you really feel about Windows 8?

I have an idea for a Lego based scientific toy. I have no idea how to go forward with it.

Can you provide any suggestions?

I'll happily share details if you're interested. :)

It's very different than everything I see there...

I don't care so much if someone steals this idea (however much I'd like to get credit I'd rather just play with it).

Take an Ipad mini sized tablet and replace the back with the large flat Lego mat. Inside each of the Lego connector (top of the block, don't know the proper name) is a USB connector.

Inside each brick is a small amount of flash memory and an electronic sensor and the (female) USB bus connector.

I'm a StarTrek kid and I'd love to be able to buy modules, plug them into my Lego tricorder, and do science.

There are tonnes of electronic modules that are small enough to fit into a brick and cost less than $5 (CAD) at wholesale prices.

I'm picturing being able to add different types of CCD (camera) sensors, or chemical sensors (think breathalyzer), or anything else imagination could create.

I love Lego as a building medium, but I'd want to encourage kids (of all ages) to build scientific devices too.

Sorry for rambling.
