Would you oppose an evolutionary approach towards creating a general/strong AI?
As a cs student I know ethical questions surrounding AI are about as far from your work as Maxwell's equations are to a camera man, but some people seem have some strong ethical concerns against evolving an AI since it would involve creating and killing millions of "intelligences" to evolve a system with the required amount of intelligence.
If you have any, I would love to hear your thoughts on the subject.
