It pisses me off people are watching this and bashing all zoos and lumping every place together. I'm a zookeeper/ trainer and I strongly believe majority of keepers feel close to their animals and would do anything to improve their lives in captivity. Not all do "trick" training and we do it to keep the animal stimulated and relieve stresses of vet visits and husbandry practices. The keepers are limited to what they can and are allowed to do with the animals in their care. Think before you criticize

How do you feel when you hear people say the war was a "waste" knowing you had fellow service people KIA or MIA?

I'm a zookeeper myself and hear this all the time. Zoos want a damn degree to do this job

Zookeeper here and II'm a history buff as well so I LOVE THEM More animals!

I know other keepers have, just don't want to get shit for repeating AMA's :)
